The Grief of Being Everything:
Lessons from Wanda Maximoff and Monica Rambeau for TheraMamas

This workshop, inspired by the journeys of Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, explores the emotional toll of being a therapist-mother: a woman who feels the relentless pull to be everything for everyone. Wanda’s story highlights how unresolved grief, perfectionism, and the illusion of control can mask deep pain, while Monica models vulnerability, grounding, and allyship in the face of loss.

Through these parallel narratives, participants will reflect on their own experiences of grief, strength, and the unrealistic expectations they carry. The session will provide space for self-reflection, creative activities, and shared dialogue, alongside actionable tools to process loss, establish boundaries, and embrace imperfection while balancing the dual roles of therapist and mother.
